Michael Grigoni
Dr. Michael Grigoni was awarded the PhD in Religion (Christian Theological Studies) in December 2020 for his dissertation "The Gun in US American Life: An Ethnographic Christian Ethics." His committee was chaired by Dr. Luke Bretherton, and other members of his committee were Drs. Anne Allison, Todd Whitmore, Joseph Blocher, and Norman Wirzba. During his time at Duke, Grigoni was awarded a 2019-2020 Louisville Institute Dissertation Fellowship and selected as an Emerging Scholar with the Center for the Science of Moral Understanding at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for 2020-2022. He is now Visiting Professor of Theology and Roman Catholic Studies at Lexington Theological Seminary. To learn more about Michael Grigoni, see his profile here. Alongside his scholarship, Grigoni is also an avid musician, playing dobro, lap steel guitar and pedal steel guitar.  He has released several albums, the latest of which is called "Earth Awhile."  To read more about his music, click here.
