Booth Successfully Defends Dissertation

Rev. Adam Booth, C.S.C. has now successfully defended his dissertation "Mother Jesus: The Contribution of Maternal Imagery to the Soteriology and Christology of First Peter,"  and is set for graduation in May. Dr. J. Ross Wagner chaired his committee and other committee members included Drs. Jed W. Atkins, Susan G. Eastman, Troy W. Martin and Brittany E. Wilson. Booth was a recipient of the J. B. Duke Fellowship, which grants $5000 per year for four years in addition to any other award the student receives. Recipients are nominated by their department and selected by a faculty committee. Booth is a Roman Catholic priest in the Congregation of Holy Cross. Once the degree is conferred, his title will become Rev. Dr. Adam Booth, C.S.C., PhD.
